A Choice:Poverty or Prosperity


"I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and i decided that I would change it."-Dr Ben Carson

This statement that Ben stated was about when he lived his childhood. He states this because he hated what he lived through. Since poverty is more of a choice he has the opportunity to change and live his life the best way he can. He said it all depends on how hard you want to work and so he decided to change the way of living for the better. He is now a doctor (an American neurosurgeon), author, and politician who is the 17th and current United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, under the Trump Administration
