Duties and Responsibilities: They provide direct patient care by h elping patients across the lifespan who are recovering from injury, illness or surgery, w orking in a variety of settings, from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing facilities, private practices, outpatient clinics, schools,etc, u tilizing specific techniques, including massage, hydrotherapy, and exercise methods to treat patients, m onitoring and documenting patient responses to treatment and progress. Salary: median salary is $45,290 Education: physical therapist assistants are required to have an associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
